ABOUT ME

For many writing is just a pastime, but Shanae knew from an early age that writing was more than that it was her passion.  As a child Shanae would always write her thoughts, dreams, and emotions down on paper.  Her reasoning behind this was “if you see it, you would achieve it” which instilled the drive and determination that she encompasses today.  Growing up in the small town of Spiro, OK Shanae knew that her dreams wouldn’t be easy to achieve yet she set herself out in this world on a quest to conquer all that she had dreamed and more.  Attending Grambling State University for two years, she moved to Dallas, TX to pursue a better life for her family as well as for herself.  After, having two children by the age of 21 she received a technical degree in Health Information Management.  Now, returning to the passion of her heart with flames coming from her pen Shanae has formally entered the game of writing fresh faced and eager to set readers on fire.  She is the author to two urban romance novels including her debut novel, Loving the Mic, the recently released Loving the Jones, and the upcoming Loving  Myself, Shanae intends to change the game with new perspectives on love and positive views on men and women of color.
